To our valued members and customers,

On September 1, 1998, we purchased the RI Rock Gym. As the sport grew we quickly outgrew our space on Weeden Street in Pawtucket, and on November 17, 2002, amidst much pomp and circumstance, with our loyal members looking on, we moved the RI Rock Gym to its current location on Higginson Ave in Lincoln. We grew, as did the sport, and in the summer of 2009 we opened our second gym in Boston, MA, named Rock Spot Climbing.

We may not be the gym’s only desk managers, route setters and instructors anymore, but we take pride in the fact that we are still an owner-operated small business. The loyalty and dedication of our customers, our members, and the local climbing community is the thread that ties our history together. We can’t overstate our gratitude to you for your support over the years. It is with you in mind that we strive ever higher, and our members are the guiding force in our growth and improvement. Customer service has always been the cornerstone of our operation and will continue to be as we look forward to the future.

We are excited that on September 2, 2010, 12 wonderful years after the start of this journey, we are re-branding RI Rock Gym to become Rock Spot Climbing. The unification of brands allows us to extend our reach beyond RI and throughout New England as we continue to grow and expand.
